Dovecast Media does more than offer courses. Through film production, church media-team training, apologetics research, and consulting and speaking, we partner with churches and organisations so truth can be communicated clearly and faithfully in a digital age.

Founder Profile
Rev. James Leong
Founder of Dovecast Media, pastor, media producer, and trainer.
Rev. James Leong founded Dovecast Media in 2005. He graduated from the Hong Kong Bible Seminary in 2010, earned a Master of Arts in Apologetics from Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS) in 2023, and was ordained in 2024. He is pursuing doctoral studies in missiology and is invited to serve MBTS as a visiting lecturer and Apologetics master’s program director in 2026.
Rev. Leong is an instructor of media and AI courses with the Association for Christian Conferences, Teaching & Service (AFC). He undertakes international audiovisual projects, creates Gospel work through an apologetics lens, and is regularly invited to preach, train, and evangelize. His long-term research focuses on world religions, Chinese culture, folk religion, cults, and New Age movements.

Our Faith
Dovecast Media’s eight faith positions address biblical authority, the spiritual purpose of media, standards of excellence and integrity, responsibility for digital apologetics, and a calling to use technology and pass on gifts in the AI age.

Scripture is the standard for every creation
We believe Scripture is God’s inerrant revelation and the highest standard for human life, belief, and service. Whatever creative form we use, every Dovecast Media production and lesson returns to biblical truth.

Media is a vessel for sacred mission
Media is neutral in itself; its value depends on the heart that uses it. In an age where everyone can publish, Christians need not avoid or fear media, but should use it purposefully to proclaim Christ and bear witness to the Gospel.

Media mission begins with the church
We believe media mission should move from near to far: beginning in the church, then reaching communities, the nation, and the world (Acts 1:8). Beyond making professional work, we help churches and organizations build mature media-ministry teams.

Pursue excellence for the Gospel
What we offer God should be our best fruit. Whether for worship within the church or mission beyond it, audiovisual work should uphold professional, high standards so Gospel work from Chinese churches can stand on cross-cultural and international platforms.

Integrity and compliance are non-negotiable
Christian media practitioners should be light and salt in ethics and law. We use properly licensed materials and legitimate software, reject plagiarism, and remain honest and transparent when using new technologies such as AI. Service is pleasing to God only with clean hands and a pure heart.

Defend sound truth in the digital tide
As heresies and misleading ideas gain ground online, the church must not be absent. A new generation of media practitioners needs sound formation, discernment, and digital-apologetics awareness so they can watch over truth and answer error faithfully.

Use emerging technology to extend God’s Kingdom
Technology is a tool God has given this generation, not a threat to faith. We approach AI and digital innovation with careful openness, learning to improve the quality and reach of Gospel communication so technology becomes an aid to mission.

Pass on gifts and raise a new generation of mission workers
Individual strength is limited; Kingdom inheritance is not. Dovecast Media is called not only to produce work, but to cultivate, inspire, and connect more Christians as they use their gifts in their own fields, keeping the fire of media mission spreading.
